Hey, all!

I've been using this program for a long time. I hadn't opened this program in a few months, though, and now I cannot import anything. I am able to choose an image to import, but then the program freezes. All of the tools become greyed out as if the import dialogue box is about to open, but nothing happens and I am forced to close the program through the task manager.

I have tried uninstalling and deleting the folders in My Documents and %appdata% and reinstalling several times, to no avail. I am on Windows 7.

I sent a message through the contact form on the website, but was hoping one of you had a quick fix for this. I am trying to make Christmas gifts, so I would like this resolved. :(

The only thing I can think of is that something between the last time you successfully imported an image with PCStitch and now was installed that is conflicting with the software. The files in appdata and My Documents are just data files and should not affect the software at all.

First - think of all software you have installed in that time frame and possibly remove any of it (or all of it) in stages to see if it helps.

If not, or there was no data, I suggest you use a clean uninstaller such as Revo Uninstaller. If you have a 32 bit machine, there is a free version of Revo. If it's 64 bit Windows 7, you may have to google to find a free software. I use the paid version of Revo Uninstaller. It doesn't just remove a product, it removes registry items as well that are often left behind with the normal uninstall product.

After uninstalling, I suggest a reboot and THEN re-install it.

If that does not work, send a message to Mark (not Contact Us). You can find his email from the intro threads for PCStitch 11 or his profile. Give him all the information you can about your system and what else is installed. He may know of a conflict. He is the one who can most likely help you.

Good Luck,

Diane
