Please help!! I've imported a picture to graph. I'm trying to change some of the colors but when I click the color picker, then on the available colors and try to change the squares I want, nothing happens(I've made sure to add the color first). I've played around with it every way I can think of but I can't get any consistency. A time or two I've gotten it to work but never repeatedly. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

From what you say, you have the image imported and are working on a pattern.

You also say you have the "to" (destination-desired) color in the palette. All you need to do is click and drag that color/symbol from the floss palette OVER the current color that you are replacing. When you release the mouse, you get a pop-up dialog with "Replace" or "Cancel". If you click "Replace", all instances of the second color are replaced with the first color.

You can do this for just a section or the entire pattern. If you have a section marked (using the arrow instead of a stitch), you will have a choice of entire pattern or selected area.

The hardest thing to remember is which will be the final result, the first color you mark or the second one. It's the first color. You select the color you want and drag it over the color you already have for those stitches.

There is an option to remove unused colors that might be handy for this.
