Hi again,

I have read most of the posts here, and found them to be very helpful.

I remember reading something about pixels and stitches. Was it that the number of pixels should be close to the number of stitchers - or number of pixels per stitch?

If that is the case, do I change pixels or what? I am confused.

And good news --- I have managed to import part of the pattern.

Thanks.

The general rule is to try to get the stitch count as close as possible to the number of pixels. Having one pixel / stitch is good because you get less blurring of the actual pattern. That does mean your actual image may appear to be very tiny. Don't worry about that. It will work out in the end.

Hi - Thanks for the reply about pixels/stitches. I thought that was to be the case, but now I need someone to remind me where I go to check on that issue?

Thanks.

To find out what the pixel size of your original is and to be able to "downsize" it, use Microsoft Paint. There is a tutorial topic on another board (EMS Cross Stitch Board) on how to do it, check here: http://www.cross-stitch-board.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28759

I'd rather do it myself. You have far better control over the operation.
