Can you give me the formula used to create the floss usage charts. I want to recreate them using a spreadsheet program so I can perform sorts. I can click on one of your headings but they don't sort so I figured I'd do them separately myself.
This is pretty complicated and not something I can really give out.
You basically need to figure out how much floss is used for each stitch at the given cloth count and add the number of inches of back stitching (remembering to take strands for each into account) and then divide the total amount of floss in a skein by this amount. You also need to figure a certain amount of waste depending on the length of the floss in your working segment. Then we multiply by a fudge factor of 1.2 since it is better to err on the high side.
All I really wanted to do was sort your floss usage that you already have included in the program. Is there a way I can export your floss usage so I can sort, or can you add this to your list of upgrades? It would be nice to be able to sort by color or stitches.
