Is there a tutorial that someone might know about on the web that gives instructions on creating a pattern from an image

What version of PCStitch do you have? Version 7 includes a tutorial available from the Help menu on creating a pattern by importing.

I know about the tutorial but what I was wondering if there might be a website that was more in depth about pixels and the like as well as pattern design. I know how to create a pattern from an image but just wanted more information.
