Does anyone have any suggestions about couching, and how to indicate it on a pattern design? I'm full of questions today, but I keep running into little things that I need solutions for!

I don't know what you mean by couching. Can you describe it for me?

Mark,

Couching is a long straight stitch that is held in place by small stitches OVER it along it's path.

So to display it correctly, it would look like a backstitch line that appears UNDER any stitches along its path instead of OVER them. Is that correct?

Not really, Mark.

It does appear OVER the cross stitches. There are little tiny, backstitch lines on top of it.

It could be shown simply as a long straight stitch and the couching described in the instructions.
