Good morning! I updated to vs 11 last year and completed a beautiful project. My recent photo loaded well (jpeg) and started my project - only to be really disappointed with the palette. A little white dog is turning out in grey. Help! I read some other posts and tried reloading, but nothing is working to get this pup to come out white and I don't want to spend hours adjusting colors manually, if I can find a way to make this work. Last year's project had more than 50 colors and I was absolutely blown away by the results. What is going wrong with this one? Thank you in advance!

Every photo is different. You cannot compare the results from one project to another. Remember that what YOU see is quite possibly very different than what the computer sees.

Another factor is there are only so many shades of any single color. It is quite reasonable to find multiple shades of gray along with white. The only way you'll see JUST white is with a cartoon with no shading.

I once did a black/white photo of a bride & groom wedding topper and some of the grays initially showed as yellow!

The main two tips are to keep the photo simple and TINY! If you have the photo the same dimensions in pixels as you want the final image in stitches, the results will be closest to what you want as the computer is only trying to convert ONE pixel to ONE stitch so no blending is needed.

The final note -- conversion from jpg to a pattern is never intended as a single process. It is only the first step. Even a simple cartoonish image will take hours on tweaking. Even then, you can change one color entirely to another color to get what you want.

Just relax and enjoy the conversion. It's what YOU want, not what the computer sees.

Ciao
si i colori sembrano diversi, ma potrebbe non essere cosi xche il programma non possiede una buna anteprima.
Io controllo sempre ogni colore che non mi convince con la tabella colori DMC, quella con i fili non quella stampata.
Spero di esserti stata utile
