Can you change the name of a color in a specific pattern (but without changing it for future patterns)?
For example, I want to name the green color I'm using "leaf stem" so I can see that name when I hover over the color in my pattern's floss palette. (I don't want to confuse it with my other, similar looking greens.)
I used to use the free StitchFiddle before downloading PCStitch, and this was an option there, so I just wanted to know if it is possible with this program.
By the way, Dragonlair, you are a godsend. Thank you for all your hard work in helping all of us users! |

You're welcome, MiniAni13. I have been working with PCStitch for over 15 years (PCStitch 7 in 2004).
There is no such capability with PCStitch. The best you can do is use the Instruction page to "map" such colors. Remember that the color names for DMC (probably the most widely used flos brand) are NOT official. DMC has no official names, just numbers. The names were given by someone else over the years.
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question

That's good to know, I'm sure I can make do with what's available!
Also, that length of time is impressive, your experience certainly shows in your knowledge. :) Thank you for your help! |
