Hi all,
I've been creating patterns to sell on Etsy one day hopefully, but I'm wondering about the pattern export/print option.
When I buy patterns on Etsy at the moment, I usually get a PDF with a black and white, colour and backstitch version of the pattern included. Can PC Stitch do that in one go or do I need to do 3 separate prints and merge them together? |

Not only are they not available in a single option, I'm not sure you can do a print of the backstitching highlighted but not the stitches.
In any case, color and black/white will have to be separate.

I take that back! I think you can - partway.
When you print, select "Print Stitches as" to "None" and leave backstitch lines as floss colors.
It will give you ONLY the backstitch lines but there will be no reference to the actual stitches.
That's as close as you can get, I think.
If you have only one color backstitching, you can use a separate symbol for it and highlight it which will leave the stitching kind of faded out to the background but that trick only works with a single backstitch color.

I have a question about printing. When I print, it prints the grid lines. It does not however print the darker every 10 stitches grid line. Is there something I am missing? This would make my patterns so much easier to use.

Lori,
How are you printing them? By default, every 10th line is printed bolder than the other lines. Do you see the bolder lines during design?
Do you see the bolder lines during a print preview?
I did find that if you use the export function to create a jpg file, you do NOT get the bolder lines. There's no way around that.
