I'm not sure what you are asking. There are some hex-codes in the PCStitch symbol font that have not been filled and there are also some duplicates. Those problems have been around for years.
Pattern was created from importing an image. I chose all the right features I wanted. said ok and the pattern was created. Then I do some editing. When I zoomed the pattern to about 200 I noticed that I was missing symbols in the pattern meaning stitches. I mean that each small square has a symbol in it. Some of the stitches are missing.
First point -- to get the best conversion from an imported image to a pattern, make the image the size IN PIXELS as the desired pattern will be in stitches. The image will look tiny but it will give the best chance of a good conversion if there is only 1 pixel per stitch. The software doesn't have to try to figure out ONE color where there are multiple colors to choose from.
Now, if you have an image that has NO stitches in some areas, then that means the conversion found a blank area (like the background may be blank). That is a part of "tweaking" - adjusting the raw conversion of the software to a usable and GOOD pattern. The conversion is never intended to be the final product. It is intended to be a starting point for you to customize to make your own.
Also, the software sees the colors in the original image differently than you do. What you may see as a SOLID line of color, it sees multiple shades of colors and the result can be a lot of confetti stitches to work with in the tweaking stage.
