I've been using PC Stitch since version 5 or 7 and am now on 11. My question is - is there any way to change the options on some of the print items. For instance - on my information page I want to show DMC stranded color and Anchor - but I have to go in and change it every single time. I don't want J.P.Coats to show - but that's what I get. It's not a horrid problem, but it is time consuming and annoying.

Thanks for any ideas, Iris

Like you, I've been using PCStitch for years. I started with 7 but some of the "pattern piece" libraries had a form of version 6. Those libraries are now built into the product so there's no more issue with the old version 6. I first started using it in 2004.

But now I'm confused.

I just did a quick test (using print preview). I selected Anchor Cotton as the floss palette, did a few colors and stitches and then a print preview.

It did NOT show J&P Coats, it showed "Anc" for Anchor for the manufacturer on the instructions sheet key. There is a palette for J&P Coats but I can't tell from the program if it's a built-in floss or one of the extras from the old myriaCross floss list.

It may not be an issue at all if you select the appropriate floss.

Thanks for the reply, however, I don't think I was clear in what I was asking. I want to show both Anchor and DMC - I do not want to show J.P. Coats. I can make it do that, but it takes several 'clicks'. I must first click on "Map Flosses to multiple families", then go to the open menu and make sure Anchor and DMC are clicked and Unclick J.P. Coats (which is always clicked).

I use this program in designing my cross stitch charts that I sell and I want to show both Anchor and DMC floss - do not want to show J.P. Coats.

I hope that makes sense.

Thank you! You lead me to checking out something I've never done in all my years (as pure amateur -- support).

I think I found your answer, too!

Go to Options. Under Printing, click on "Floss Mappings". Scroll down that list and UNCHECK J&P Coats. It's quite a bit of scrolling because the window is smaller but it's there. That should keep it from showing up in the print dialog because it's a global setting.

Oh my goodness - Dragonlair - YOU ARE WONDERFUL! I have no idea why I never found that - but it worked. Thank you so very much. This will save so much time and aggravation. I did think it had to be somewhere but apparently I couldn't see the forest for the trees.

And, while I was in Options I found several other things that I tweaked. I'm excited now!

Thank you again, Iris
