HELP! I was working on a pattern and thought I saved it. I then turned my computer off to move to a different room and when I went to open it back up I kept getting this error that the palette is invalid and that my file is corrupt?!

I checked the boards and saw that someone suggested taking the .bpt file and renaming the extension to .pat and I tried that, however it still didn't work for me. Ugh I am so devastated that this happened as I have never had this happen before!

Any suggestions? I suppose I should go ahead and just start over but figured this was worth a shot.

Thanks in advance!

Did you try to open the backup file by itself? That should work.

If you shut down the computer without shutting down the program first, that may have corrupted the file.

You might try to right-click on the .pat file and try to get "previous version" to get an older form of the file so that you won't lose everything. I don't know what else you can try.

You have never been able to save as other than .pat. If you want a .pdf files, you need a virtual printer such as what comes with Adobe or Foxit. There have been known issues with the one that comes with Microsoft! Just print to PDF.
