When I try to open my PCStitch Pro I get the following message

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id 0xaf8 (2808), Thread id=0xa34(2612).
Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEl to debug the application.

How can I fix this problem so I can use my program again.

I would first try the following:

Begin to "uninstall" via Add/Remove from the Control Panel. When it asks if you wish to uninstall, click "NO". That will cause it to do "maintenance". Then try to open it.

If that does not work. I would actually uninstall and then re-install it. If you are doing it from a CD there is no problem. If you are doing it from the download, you will have to re-apply the unlock key.

If you have problems with the unlock key, email for further help. At least you will be able to open it.

Did something happen to make it quit working? When was the last time it ran correctly?

I have a basic question..I just downloaded the free version to 'try it out' before purchasing it. After several hours of playing with it (you would think I am an engineer for not reading the instructions first) I decided to read the tutorial and the forums. some have helped, some have not. I still don't find this very user friendly. I think I ight still be doing something wrong but I can honestly say that I wish I had the ability to take some small pic in the library and play with it to the point of converting and printing it out for an 'end result' to see how it works. I cannot do so and thus, am considering that I won't buy such a product if I can't use it first to try it out. Can you help me out on this? I understand that you don't want to give out worthwhile ability for obvious reasons, but there should be one chart/image that we should be able to convert to the point of completion.

Thanks

Resa
