I have PCStitch 10 and the newest version. I am trying to print my pattern instrustions and it is showing both full stitches and 3/4 stitches in the legend. Is there a way to turn off the breakdown into the stitch types or to select which stitch types I want to print in the legend. For example I want the legend, half stitches, back stitches and blended stitches but do not need full stitches and 3/4 stitches included. |

I've reported this problem and suggested changes before to no avail. I usually do large patterns with over 100 colors. First - the small wicker symbol at the beginning of the legend needs to be deleted or delete the small (lower case) "n". They are too similar. Second - the wicker symbol pointing right at the beginning of the legend needs to be deleted or delete the lower case "c" Third - the upper case L or the lower case i need to be deleted - they are identical. Fourth - symbols such as "/" "\" and the double angular lines as well as "<" ">" need to have some distance between them since the colors they represent are usually very close and similar to each other and become very confusing in a pattern. Fifth - the wicker symbol pointing up at the beginning needs to be deleted or the lower case "u" needs to be deleted.
Thank goodness there is no zero to compete with the upper case "O"

Hi Sukie
Can you tell me what your settings are to show 3/4 and full stitches? I've not been able to find that out yet. I'd like to be able to specify how many strands for 1/4 stitch (petit point), two strands for cross stitch and three for satin stitch, but don't know how to do that either.
I've looked in Tools - Options, but that doesn't cover it. The only way I can find is if you use specialist stitches - you can add an instruction note to the pattern which explains the thread count when the cursor passes over the stitch - but that's NO GOOD AT ALL if you are printing it out, as most of us do.
And Hi George12
Have you tried changing the font for the symbols?
I almost never use the default symbols selected when you choose a colour thread -it's impossible for the software to know what colours are going to go next to each other in your pattern, so I don't expect them to show up well next to each other.
You know you don't have to stick just to the default font? There are at least five or six fonts you can choose from. And you can use more than one font in a design? I normally use PCStitch fonts 2 and 3, but for a really large number of colours, I'll use the other fonts available too.
It does take a bit of time to find the best, but it is worth the effort. There is a huge range of symbols to choose from. |

Daisy, I'm not sure what my settings are because it only happens in a few of my patterns and I can't replicate it or remove it. I have tried many times. I was hoping you could tell me what I did to get it and how to remove it. Sukie |

Where can you see the detail on some of your patterns for the full and 3/4 stitches? When you go to print preview, or somewhere else? I can't find anything like that. |

Sorry Daisy, I haven't been on the forum for a while. The 3/4 stitches only show when I print them out or look at them in print preview. |
