I created a pattern from scratch and I noticed that my pattern is locked or protected. Why is that ?

Did you request it to be read-only? That protects it from being changed. You have to remove that protection to change it and then re-apply afterward.

Also, you cannot export patterns to PCStitch 7 format if you use any stitched fonts or library motifs unless the font and/or library was entirely of your creation in the first place.

It is not the read-only that I am talking about. All the patterns that I create are copyright protected (Patternsonline.com).

If they are downloads from POL, they are automatically read-only from what I understand.

Like I stated before, these are patterns that I create and not buy and they are still protected.

The way PCStitch 10 protected copyright protected patterns is to make them read only. That locks them from being changed. It is not the normal Windows "Read-Only" attribute but in the file itself.

If this is not what is happening, then contact Mark on the issue.

If you email a copy of opne of your patterns to me at mmiller@pcstitch.com I will see if I can tell what the issue is.

The same thing is happening to me. Pattern is from scratch and it is copyrighted protected by Patternsonline.com

I didn't use anything from the libraries.
