I have created a pattern and now when I go to Export to Image File I want my symbols all in black and my backstitching to show in the colors I choose. For example, change my black backstitching to green so it shows up better with the black symbols. I want other backstitching to be the color it is in the pattern. I was able to do this before but now it's not working. (I'm talking about changing all of the backstitching in that color at the same time) Any help would be very appreciated.

Sharleen,

Check the Print dialog page. On the bottom left, is a "Print Lines as" option. It should say "Floss color" and then with or without line styles. If you don't use line styles, it should print directly as the floss color. If you do use line styles (like dotted, dashed or so forth), it should show the styles in the colors.

Check the option and look at the preview. If the preview shows the colors but the printed copy does not, check your printer definitions. In that case, it's not PCStitch at fault.

If you're talking about using colors other than the color defined for the floss, the software won't handle that. In that case, you can just define the backstitch to a given color and then in the instructions, say what color to use.

Remember, you can also use styles or widen the backstitch to make it show up better.
