Is there a way to make borders on the diagonal or in any other odd shapes? Also, is there a way to draw the box (select tool) in a diagnonal or any other shapes?
Thanks |

No, both of these features only work as rectangles.
I can see why you might want a free-form selection tool, but what are you trying to do with an irregular border?

As just one example, I just did a design for a hooded baby towel that has Aida cloth as the hood. It is diagonal in shape - 12" at bottom, about 2 " at top and sloping sides. I just used a solid line back stitch to form the shape for my counting purposes, but just wondered if there was any way to free form or change box shapes. Also, when I tried to add border, I couldn't get it to shape the way I wanted. Of course I could add each border stitch individually, but just thought it would be nice to do borders in different shapes.
I am also working on designing a quilt. It would be nice to oval or round border and box to created different looks on the quilt squares with stitching.
As I am new to computer designing - I thought maybe I just did not know how to change the shapes. Thanks let me know if you want me to email the file to you, so you can see exactly what I am writing about. |

I would love to see a feature like this soon. I too would like to add shapes and/or change the sizes of borders, I do alot of bibs for my grandbabies and it would be so nice to be able to print the pattern in the correct shape so the counting wouldn't be so tedious.... good idea!!!!
