I'm working on a project where I have a black cross-stitch pattern done and need to do gray straight stitches over the cross stitch. How do I do this so that these stitches overlay each other when I print the design out? I'm actually entering a contest and need to show all the stitching done in the project. Thanks. Sue

I played with things a little; I found that with the specialty stitches I could click on one of those and place it over the cross stitches and it will show both stitches. But how do I decrease the size of it? Also, I thought that I could show three french knots in triangular fashion to show where the placement would have to be for the straight stitches to be put. Comments? Thanks. Sue

Sue,

The specialty stitches are simply a saved bunch of straight stitches. You can't adjust their size. However, the straight or back stitches on a project do normally show on top of the cross stitches when you print the design. That should not be a problem for you. As a test, you might try a small test design.
