Does anyone know how to hide all the colors except the one you want to print? I know I saw that this was possible to do before I bought the software but now I can't find out how to do it. Thanks.

Are you referring to printing in black and white only?

Hello,

I believe you are referring to is the Highlight Entry feature of the palette. This feature allows you to “dim” all the stitches in your pattern except the selected one. It is a great feature that allows you to quickly find all the stitches of a certain color.

To highlight an entry, just right-click the palette entry you want and choose the “Highlight Entry” option from the pop-up menu. If you change between palette entries, you will notice the highlight will change. To go back to the original view, right-click the palette entry again and choose the “Stop Highlighting” option.

One more thing: You determine the level at which the other entries are dimmed. From the options form (Options from the Tools menu), choose the Highlight Settings tab found in the Design Screen group. The lower you set the number, the less visible the dimmed entries will be..

Your post said something about printing it this way. Sorry, but the highlight feature works only within the design form on the screen.

Hope this helps…

Sincerely,

It's labor intensive but this approach works for me:
Open your design. Use File / Save As to create a copy of the design.
Use Options / Floss Palette to open the floss palette window.
Use the Remove Color button with the Delete The Stitches option to erase all of the colors you do not want to print (one at a time unfortunately). When you close the Floss Palette window the pattern will only contain the stitches you did not delete. (Sometimes I will leave a color I have stitched to help orient the stitches for the color I am working on. I make the stitches for the color I'm working on use a dark symbol and I turn the orientation stitches to a light symbol.) Then print it.
When you close PCStitch do not save the changes. Then you can use the copy of the pattern for the next color.
