I suggest you first close down your system and reboot/restart it. It might make a difference. Remember that PCStitch 10 is very old - even it's replacement of PCStitch 11 is several years old!
That product is no longer updated so if you are manually checking for an update, that might be the cause. If it is the automatic update, I suggest you turn that off (if you can) as soon as you get by the hiccup.
As for the hiccup, if the restart doesn't clear it, then I suggest you send an email to Mark at mmiller@pcstitch.com as he is the only one who can help. Make sure you give the full error message (a screenshot might help).
