I downloaded the new PC-11 on my computer which uses Windows 10. I have lost the option for symbols, only choice is one page of basically the keyboard. When I try to click on the PCStitch symbols I get an error message - [i][b]Only TrueType fonts are supported. This is not a TrueType font.
How do I get back my symbols choices. This happened before when I did an upgrade, I will not be upgrading again if this continues as it changes all the symbols in the 50 or so patterns I have put on my computer.
When you click on the "A" button to the right of the font name in the Symbols palette, you should get a list of fonts. There should be 3 PCStitch symbol fonts. PCStitch 11 has the 3rd one as the default.
PCStitch Symbols 3 is a true-type font. I just verified that all three of the symbol fonts are TrueType fonts.
You might try to reinstall the software OVER the existing install. That should not affect any of your existing pattern files.
When in the symbols panel, click on the icon (A+blue bar) to the right of the current font. It displays a drop down menu where you can choose ANY windows font listed as the font you wish to use. All three PCStitch symbol fonts are included.
This means, if you wish to use a font that only uses alphanumerics (such as all capital letters), you can!
