Hi there, Sometimes when I export the legend out of a design as an RTF file, it doesn't organise in the same way as the palette. I usually have the palette set up as Floss ID, and coordinate my symbols accordingly. However when I open up the exported Legend (produced via the Export Image window) the list isn't organised in the same way, which leads to manual rearranging of the list to make it fit for purpose. Is there a way to specify this or is it a glitch?
Thanks for your help! |

I've never used that Export Image feature. I always just print and the legend is included. The only thing you can do is manually put the palette in the same order as the export function. You have control over sorting the palette. You do not have control over sorting the export list.
Diane There is no such thing as a stupid question

With me, I'm taking the Legend and transposing it into my new magazine - XStitch - so that it appears as a table in the mag. Being able to export the Legend as an RTF file is really useful, it's just a bit time consuming to manipulate that list each time. The magazine has 20 designs, many of which are created in other software, so I also have to recreate them in PCStitch. So yeah, 20 lots of tweaking the legend is a bit of a chore. I want to have the threads in Floss ID order - it just seems weird that they RTF export, which carries across all the relevant info, muddles up the Floss ID order. |
