I'm trying to print out a pattern that has a lot of white, in order to see the colour blocks I needed to change the background (cloth) colour. Ive gone into pattern properties, display & changed the cloth colour to 2 very bold colours. Neither printed out so I researched the forums & changed the default pattern settings under options, again I changed it to 2 bold colours printed both out and still its white. Now I have no idea, does anyone know what Im doing wrong?
Display and Print are two different things. You can display stitches in one way and print them in another for example. I didn't see any option to print the background in a color. That would use a LOT of ink! The only thing you can do is fill the background in the bright color stitches and then put in the instructions to NOT stitch that color.

There is no such thing as a stupid question
Even though it would take a lot of ink to print it out, there should still be an option to change the color for pdf printing. I have a black background and had to resort to screen printing everything and save to my photo software. Something that I should NOT have had to do with a purchased software. Maybe add it as an update to PCS 11? I use this software for more than just cross stitch.
The thing to do is to post in Mark's thread on suggestions for new features. I'm not sure how much priority it would have because I'm not sure how many users have a wish or need for the feature. I'm not saying you're request is unreasonable - just not the norm.
