I manufacture my own line of embroidery floss, and have entered it all into PCStitch so I can use it to make patterns with my floss. I have about 150 colours, across two separate lines (so there are two separate lists).
I would like to be able to export these floss lists so other designers can use them for making their own charts, as well as keeping as a backup in the event that my PC decides it is no longer interested in life. I cannot find a way to do this. I've seen people say to copy the files, but frankly, I've no idea where to find these files that should be copied. |

The floss files are located in ProgramData\PCStitch xx\Flosses where "xx" is the PCStitch version number such as 8, 9, 10, or 11.
However, ProgramData is usually a hidden file. To actually see them, you have to use the folder options in Windows Explorer (or File Explorer in new versions of Windows) to see the hidden files and potentially "un-hide" the folder.
They can be simply copied. The complexity is that you must know that folder. I believe you can create a command script to copy the files needed without even seeing them but you must assume that the version number is correct.

| Thank you! Are there any plans to implement an easy export in future versions of PCStitch, or is this going to be the only way to do it? |

I suspect the change won't be happening anytime soon. It's been that way for quite a few generations of PCStitch now.
