I've finished a pattern in PCStitch and am working on getting it printed out. However the symbols for backstitches and halfstiches are kinda... problematic.

The half-stiches show as tiny symbols for that thread color in the corner of the square. Is there a way to just make half-stitches of one color their own symbol?

For backstitches, there's no way to differentiate floss colors unless I print in color. Patterns I've bought in the past use different lines to differentiate colors for backstitches, so it's possible to tell the different ones apart even if the pattern is in black and white. Is there a way to do this in PCStitch?

Thanks :)

For fractionals, you can define the same color multiple times with different symbols and use one symbol for the halfstitches. However, that won't change how it is printed -- it will still be the same smaller style so choose a symbol that is easily recognized, even if small.

For backstitches, you can go to the definition of the color and define a different line style (like squiggles or dashes) for each color. Be careful of some like the squiggles or the tracks because it can be a bit "thick" and make nearby symbols hard to determine.
