I know this sounds really strange, but I've uninstalled and reinstalled pc stitch 10 updated version and it comes as registered to this person when it should be registered to me, is there a way to reset it so I can enter my LEGAL registration details that I bought over 12 months ago,
suggestions please, i'm using version 10.00.23 on windows 8. this has happened before thanks in advance |

I know an "Anna Hecker". She used to be quite active with the EMS Cross Stitch board and I know she had a copy of PCStitch (I think it was only up to version 7 at that time). I haven't seen any sign of her anywhere on any site for at least 6 or 7 years now, though.
I have no idea why your copy keeps coming up with her name. I suggest you send an email to Mark (you can do it from this board). He would be the one who can help you figure this out!

Done so yesterday evening. Thanks for the reply. I bought my key around 12mths ago. Not sure why im getting this persons name showing up. As it didnt do it before when i ran it on my old computer
ok so I tried it on aNOTHER tower I have here and it's working fine, no "ANNA hecker" in that one, it must be something to do with windows 8. anyone suggest anything, received an email from pc stitch but they weren't much help...I really don't want to run 2 pc's to do the same job...

Tia,
Was your response from Mark? If not, then I would pursue it with Mark. I agree that it appears that Windows 8 is interpreting it funny and he needs to know that!

Sorry about that -- I was half asleep when I was reading posts first thing this morning! :D
Yes, Jennifer is the normal first contact. In a case like this, you may have to access Mark's profile here and send him an email.

lol that's ok, I have mornings like that, so totally get it. I've just sent mark an email via the board, so lets hope he can sort it...I know for some they would say..so big deal but for me it is. as I intend to sell my designs and I don't want to be "of questionable character"
thanks |

Debbie,
I think this was an isolated incident. The chances of Anna showing up again out of the blue like this is small.
You should be fine with this software running on Windows 8.
