| Does anyone know if it is possible to e-mail out patterns instead of printing? Would like to send a few things to my Mom but she is one that always wants a pattern "now". |

If the pattern is NOT copyright protected (that is, your own pattern), you can use a product such as PrimoPDF and "Print" to it. That will create a .pdf file you can email. Or, the other person can have a copy of PCStitch (even the trial version can be used to just view and print) and you can email the .pat file.
If doing the latter with a yahoo address, I recommend zipping the pattern first. Yahoo has a reputation for trying to put such patterns "inline" and really fouling up the attachment!
If the pattern is copyright protected -- even if it's free, you cannot send it to anybody in any form without violating copyright.

| Thanks for the information. The pattern that I was going to send via e-mail is a picture of her great grand child that she wanted to do as a gift. I took the photo myself. I'm not quite done with the touch-ups but I think it will be a large pattern and many pages. Thought e-mailing would be better than postal mailing. Will check into it. Thanks again. |

I tried Primo PDF about one hour ago based on this thread. I was disappointed that it did not represent my fractal .pat file accurately. For instance it did not show most of the grid lines. It also tended to shift the left column over one space as I progressed through the pages.
