Any craft that uses "grids" can apply to PCStitch. In this case, you will usually use the "box" of the grid as an "intersection" of the plastic canvas but the basic concept is the same.
You will probably have to ignore the estimates for material usage and "wing-it" for the colors but all of these things are flexible and the basic graph is the most important part.
