The pine tree symbol and the <-> symbol (the dash connects the two arrows) are repeated in this font. PC Stitch 10 knows which copy of the symbol goes with which floss color but you can't tell on the printed chart. Until the duplication can be fixed, just make sure your chart only uses one of these symbol pairs. Better yet, adjust the symbol-to-floss-color-number so that you don't use either of them.

Otherwise, I like the symbol choices in PCStitch 3 font. There are few symbols that can be confused with one another and lots of distinct and familiar shapes.

That flaw has been noted several times over the past few years. There are actually about 3 duplicates in the symbol font and I do not know why they have not been fixed.

You might try emailing Mark with the question.

Might you know what the other duplicated symbol is?

I thought someone had pointed out 3 such duplicates when the font was first released. If you search hard enough, you might find the post on this forum somewhere.

The double-arrow one is the most obvious since they are side by side!

There are 3 "undefined" shown as the dotted block and one that is blank. Beyond that, there's not much I can say.

I have noticed the same. I hope PC stitch fix this as I have a few angry customers which results to more work for me.

I just posted an update which should fix some of these font issues. You can load it by running the Check for Updates option under the Help menu.

Let me know if the update gives you any problems.

Thanks for removing the duplicates.

I just updated. According to what I see, there are 222 items in that symbol set and it includes 5 "not-defined" (shown as the shaded block). Those not defined are in positions 109, 111, 112, 125 and 141 with 1 as the first position (not 0).
