I have not used PC STitch to design anything because when i do try it, i am not able to actually choose the colors of the stitches for some reason.

I have loked in the help pages using key words-stitch coloring, coloring stitches, choosing colors etc and have managed to get the colors picked along the bottom of the screen, but cannot seem to find out how to get the colors i want into the graph itself. I like to see the stitches as blocks, and would like the blocks to be in color with sympbols only for the type of stitch. How do I do it?

thanks..

Hello Katiejay,

I am Troy Riegle with M&R. Let me see if I can help you...

You will find that a lot of the options to "do things" inside PCStitch Pro are done with pop-up menus that are displayed by right-clicking on things.. This is a good example of one.

When you create a new pattern, there will be some default entries in the floss palette. To add additional colors, you find them in the Available Floss Panel (Usually displayed on the left side of the design grid), and either right-click them and choose "Add" from the menu, or you can drag and drop them into the floss palette panel.

If you want to remove entries from your floss palette, you right-click the entry in the floss palette and choose remove.

Drawing stitches, or putting stitches in your pattern is simple. You click on the floss color in the palette window, then just click in the design grid to add stitches. The stitch style placed in the grid will be the one selected in the stitch tool bar at the top.

Finally, you can display the stitches in the grid in different ways, such as blocks or symbols. You change that by using the toolbar buttons (to the right of the zoom buttons), or from the VIEW menu, Stitches Display As... menu option...

I hope this answers your question. If not, please contact me and I will help you more..

Sincerely,
Troy Riegle
