HI. I bought what I thought was Aida and it turned out to be Fiddler's Cloth. What would I use it for? It seems very stiff. But it is a pretty lilac colour.

Thanks for your input.

I'm sure they will be thrilled. It should work well for bookmarks. The stiffness should be an asset in something that small since you can't use a hoop very well there.

Bookmarks stitch up pretty easy so you should have time to get several done before Christmas. Just don't stitch so much you hurt your hands (speaking from experience with tendonitis from a Q-Snap & Anne Cloth).

Happy Stitching!

Hi Diane

It is very stiff. Maybe I'll just cut a little piece off it and try it out.
Our pharmacy has some really nice ladies in their department and all year long they are so nice to us. Especially this summer when my husband had surgery and then reacted to medications, they were all so helpful. In appreciation for the extra friendly service they give to my DH and me, I thought I'd make them personalized bookmarks with their names on them.

Happy stitching.

Anything for which you would use Aida! It's an acceptable fabric for cross-stitch.

Since Aida tends to be rather stiff, this must be REALLY stiff if you mention it in relation to Aida. It should work well.
