I just loaded up my program today and made a pattern of my 11 month old granddaughter. I got a pattern that I can use but can't see good enough to mark back stitching (outlining) also dont' know what to outline to make face look natural. Can anyone help me?

Can you post a picture? I am very new to cross stitch and would like to see pictures so I know how I am doing. Thanks in advance. Lucy

I see 22 of you have looked at my questions....no one has any more suggestions? Am I doing something wrong that my pattern is so hard to see? Would it be better in black rather than color?

Thank Diane: I did find that I could do that around the hat that's in the picture but I can't get the eyes and mouth clear enough to know what to do. Is there anyone out there that has worked with this program a lot to whom I could email the pattern to and see if they can help me out?

To see where to put the backstiching, I recommend you change the zoom factor. Zoom in a bit and enlarge the stitches.

As for where to put them, I have a couple suggestions:

* Put them where you want to emphasize the change from the face to the surrounding area.

* Put them where you want to mark shadows. This might be the eyes, nose and chin area.

* Look at an existing pattern of a face for ideas.

Diane
