Posted - 05/04/2010 : 22:19:16 I am new to PCStitch and attempting to graph a closeup picture of a child. Is it possible to lighten the facial colors without washing out the clothing color, too? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Posted - 05/05/2010 : 07:49:35 PCStitch sees colors differently than you or I do. It's just the nature of computers. If the colors are not right, then you may need to use graphics software to "re-touch" the photo giving closer colors to what you want.
The alternative is to use the "tweaking phase" of pattern creation to change the colors suggested to those more what you want. If they are too dark, then shift them lighter with color replacement features.
Remember that it's more of an art than a science at this point. Enjoy yourself!
Good Luck,
