When I print a pattern, the program ignores any changes I make to the default printer settings. I go to Print, then Printer Setup, then Properties to change my settings, (to change from draft quality to normal quality,) but they are ignored. When I open the Properties dialog again, it is reset to the defaults. The only work-around I've found is to temporarily change my default printer settings.

This is a problem with the dialog that we use to do the printer setup that started happening with Windows XP. We do save some of the more common settings like paper orientation and size, but we can't save settings that aren't common to all printers.
