I've been using PC Stitch for years but am new to PC Stitch 10. I want to import a family crest to make, and I've requested this with 2-3 online stores that sell crests in cross stitch form. But they don't use PC Stitch and I don't like the one they do use.

When I try to import a copy of the crest it is so messy and blurry. When I use the smaller stitch count it helps, but the image is still blurry. Any suggestions

Check some of the many posts where I've made this same suggestion -- decide on the count you wish to use and the size of the final project. Then figure out the stitch count for the project width/height. Adjust the size of your imported image to as close to that width/height as you can make it and still keep the aspect ratio the same.

It will look tiny but that's the point. You want ONE pixel to ONE stitch for the best conversion.

Second recommendation - be prepared to tweak! No matter what you do, the pattern you get out of PCStitch at first will NOT be what yo want. Be prepared to play with it - change colors, change stitches, add specialty stitches ... whatever it takes to make it look right and keep comparing a view of your pattern with the original image.

Work with it - take your time -- it will work.
