My problem is that I would like to be able to manipulate the text to squish it and make it narrower, or stretch it to make it wider. I'm trying to make something similar to a subway sign. here's an example I made: Hi, I'm attempting to design a text only pattern. I can't seem to figure out how to manipulate the appearance of the text using the text tool, so I tried to do things another way. I imported that exact image. The problem with that is that when I imported it, it showed 30+ colors to make up the image. I just need it in 1. so can anyone tell me a) how to manipulate the text in PCStitch or 2) how to import an image and keep it at one color?

In the import wizard, you can change the number of colors on the last tab to 2 which should import it as black text with a white background.
thank you for the suggestion, but I've tried that and unfortunately, it warps the letters too much, making them somewhat unreadable. |
