I have a series of patterns but I've found that the symbols are differnt for each one. They all use the same colours/blends but the symbols are different for each.

Is there a way of using the same symbols on all the patterns without going into each one and changing each symbol?

You select the palette from the Symbols menu. Click on the "a" button beside the font name in the Symbols panel and you can scroll to choose your symbol font.

Is there a way to show a different Symbols palett as my version of PC Stitch Pro 9 only seems to default to Symbols 3

The only way for multiple patterns to have the same symbols for the same colors across the board is for them to share a "palette". You would have to save it for use for each one. I believe there is a way to "convert" to a given palette but I'm not sure.
