Posted - 05/14/2006 : 21:44:21 Love PCStitch... am having trouble opening patterns that I created in vs.7 with Pro. It tells me it's registered or something to me (it says my name) but it wont let me open it. Does anyone else have this problem and/or know what to do? Also, why does it do it in the first place? Thanks. Renee' |

Posted - 08/11/2006 : 18:32:27 Mark, got your email, I forwarded the failed to your other account as you said. I aslo tried to 'reply' to the one you sent but I got another failed response from it. I saved it to my pc in case you want to see it also. Could it be the pattern attachment? It's like 3mb.
Well, let me know. Thanks Renee'

Posted - 08/06/2006 : 15:31:21 Hey Mark. I have been trying to send you an email with the pattern attached and it keeps coming back saying it's unable to deliver. I just click on the link you have above, fill it out, attach the pattern and send. When I go to check my email I have one that says the other one failed....
Do you have another email?
Please let me ASAP Renee'

Posted - 06/27/2006 : 17:18:38 I would be happy to look at some of your patterns and see what the problem is. Pick one and email it to me at mmiller@pcstitch.com and let me know exactly what message you get when you try to open it.

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 18:10:57 No, I only have one account and have contacted them also. Kristi has been so helpful and is looking into on that end. I heard that if you unistall/reinstall it might help. I bought the upgrade online with the downloadable upgrade. So, if I do U/R will it mess with my registration? I have my reg.# will it stay the same if I U/R? Also, do you even recomend to do this? I just want to be able to open my patterns. I am not trying to infringe on anyones creations as I wouldn't want thme to do that to me. I can send you the patterns if you like but I'll warn you I have hundreds of patterns that I've made. I have been a PCStitch user since the beginning (vs.5). I sent Kristi @ patterns online a text list maybe that would be of help? Well, I thank you for you help, Sincerely, Renee P.S. Sorry it took so long for me to respond, I forgot my password for this forum and have emailed for help but to no avail. I finally remembered it. |

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 17:59:32 actually no. I only have one account and have contacted them also. Krist has been so helpful and is trying to help me on that end. But it does it with all sorts of patterns now. I was going to uninstall and reinstall but wanted to find out if that will mess up my registration? I upgraded from 7 to pro thru the website online and just downloaded the upgrade and they gave me my reg.# so, I'm not sure if I should do that or not? Any suggestions? And do you think that would even help? |

Posted - 05/15/2006 : 10:20:21 Hello Renee'
Troy here. This sounds like you are trying to open designs that you purchased from PatternsOnline.com.
Our software products are designed to protect the copyrights of the designers who post patterns there. Our products will open patterns from a single patternsonline.com account.. If you try to open patterns from another account, you will get an error.
If you create a pattern of your own, but copy in parts of a pattern that you purchased from PatternsOnline.com, the new pattern will also be branded and only you will be allowed to open it. Again, it should not be a problem as long as the patterns all come from the same patternsonline.com account..
I have seen this before, when people open multiple accounts at PatternsOnline. Could that be the problem?
Sincerely, Troy |
