Posted - 08/20/2006 : 17:59:20 I've been drawing patterns using blended flosses, and have noticed a peculiar thing when designing using the colour & symbol option for the way stitches are displayed. Does anyone know why the colour blend and texture shows on the screen when using 3/4 stitches but not for the full stitches? |

Posted - 09/01/2006 : 02:03:28 One way to get a blended color just in the areas you want it, is to create the blend with a separate symbol. Say for instance you wanted to blend a red, with a pink. Both colors exist in your pallet. Create a new entry for the same red, with another symbol of course, then go to your available colors list and select or highlight the pink, close the list. Right click on the new red in the pallet, then in the box that pops up there is an option to blend with the color that was just selected in the list. Select that and you will see the blended cross-hatch color behind the symbol in the pallet. You can use that symbol all around the areas that the two colors meet and get a very elegant effect. Cool, huh??? Hope I explained that alright. Email me if you want to discuss it further. Love to year from ya! Terry Kristoff for Tempest Designs

Posted - 08/27/2006 : 04:07:23 Hi Troy, for some reason I can't seem to get pro to blend colors for what I need. What I would like to do is just blend say when two different colors butt up to each other I would like to have just the line where the two colors come together blended. When I do a blend I have all of the stitches of both colors blended. I hope that makes sence. Is it all or nothing? Thanks

Posted - 08/26/2006 : 10:20:08 What do you mean, "You can't do it"? Are you getting some sort of error?
If you dont know how to do it: You blend a floss by dragging one from the available list and dropping it on an existing entry in the palette panel. You will be presented with a menu asking if you want to replace or blend it...
