Posted - 06/26/2006 : 17:55:55 Hi, forgot my password but finally remembered and here I am again. I am having a problem with pro freezing up. Well, actually I will have a pattern opened and then want to add either border or library and those open ok. but when i click to put them in the pattern nothing happens. I can still click on toolbar buttons, ect but nothing--NOTHING-- happens. It jsut sits there. Also, if I have a pattern open and go to increase the zoom (I so miss the zoom to feature of 7) it hangs up on me there too. My system is xp media center. and is vista capable. So, i am confident that my pc is fast enough or whatever for the graphics ect. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any help or suggestions? Thanks in advance. Renee |

Posted - 07/20/2006 : 02:00:58 Hey Mark, I don't know really what you mean? It does it 90% of the time I am using the program. Just like I stated above, while a pattern is open and I go to view the borders or a library and if I decide to insert one of them I click it and then it just stops. I mean, it doesn't do anythign, and I have to ctl, alt, del to manualy end and then restart and anything that I've done on the pattern has been lost, even if I've saved during that session. Its a real pain as I have little ones here and when their napping and I get a bit of time to spend working on my patterns then to lose it all it's just heartbreaking.... Well, any help you can give will be appreciated I assure you If there is anything else you need just let me know...

I haven't seen anything like this reported. I have never tried the software on XP Media Center edition, but I don't think that should cause a problem.
Can you come up with a reproducible sequence of events to make the problem occur? If so, I can try to make it happen here and see if I can debug it.

I'm running an older system and only using ME. I do have hang problems in general (on every bit of software, it seems) but I have not seen your problem. However, I do have a similar situation. Because of the time it takes to load Pro, I don't like to close it unless I have to do so. Sometimes, when it has been "minimized" for an extended period (read hours), it won't come up again. I click and click and click and it's ignored. If I hit ctrl-alt-del to see what is going on it says PCStitch Pro is "non-responding". I know it's not busy because I hadn't touched it for hours and my DH WON'T touch it. I select the option to terminate it and it restarts with no trouble (except for the delay in loading again).
Could this hang be related?
