Posted - 05/01/2022 : 10:19:15 I've not been able to locate information on what the minimum and recommended system requirements or specs for running any version of PCStitch. I the latest PCStitch 11 from download. My laptop is running Windows 10 64-bit Home on an AMD A10 8700P Quad Core APU. It has 8 GBs RAM (but can be doubled). Base clock speed 1.8 GHz but easily boosts to 3.2 GHz as needed.
I have little trouble running the software for projects that use 100 or fewer colors. So long as I first scale all the images down to around 1920x1080p or smaller. If I have to use more thread colors (up to 505 colors) my system can take quite a long time to move from preview mode to conversion mode. Often resulting in my fan kicking in to cool the PC down.
Also, what are the new limits of the software? When I got it a year or two ago patterns could have 999x999 with up to 505 colors. But now it appears I have pattern conversions in excess of the 999x999 limit. How big is the new limit? Has there been an increase in the number of thread colors too?
