Posted - 08/18/2025 : 10:17:29 Hi - Two questions if I may... 1) I used to be able to hover over or click on a color in the Floss Palette of the colors being used on the current design (along the bottom of the screen) and see which DMC number it was - no all of a sudden that is no longer working which can be quite frustrating!
2) My "Undo" icon on day was just gone - I had contacted customer support and their fixes didn't solve the problem. I've gotten used to using "Control Z" to undo things but does anyone know how to get that icon back? Many thanks! Steve

Posted - 08/19/2025 : 12:50:05 Could you possibly have the PCStitch 11 window too low? Do you see the Row/Col info as to where your mouse is pointing? That also should show BELOW the standard location for the palette. The Row and Col are on the right side of that bottom band and the floss code information is on the left. If you hover on the palette, the information includes the number of stitches for that color. If you hove over a stitch in the body of the pattern, just the color code without the number of that color is there.

Posted - 08/19/2025 : 12:37:39 So after a few attempts at Revo Uninstaller that didn't work I realized that as I started it the PC Stitch exe would automatically start. On my latest attempt as soon as that opened I opened Task Manager and stopped the PC Stitch exe from running. Finished the uninstall via Revo, rebooted my PC and installed a fresh copy of PC Stitch. When opening the new copy all my personalization and such are still there and it never asks me for the key - but at least this time my undo is back - so some progress was made! Still can't get the palette to show me what the DMC number is. I've also sent an e-mail to customer service so maybe they will come back with a solution. Again, many thanks for your help Diane!! |

Posted - 08/18/2025 : 17:35:16 You might try Revo Uninstaller. It has a free version - even a portable version that does not need to be installed, just expand the zip.
It's uninstall has the ability to look for registry entries. You might want to turn off the option to create a restore point when you remove registry entries. I do.

Posted - 08/18/2025 : 15:58:35 Thank you Dragonlair! Much appreciated. I have done an uninstall and a reinstall when I open PCStitch it looks exactly the same and even my personalized settings are the same - so I did some research and looked for a registry file to delete but can't seem to locate one for PCStitch. I have reached out to PCStitch directly so we shall see what they come back with. Fingers crossed we can get this back to normal!! |

Posted - 08/18/2025 : 15:35:10 I haven't had a chance today (too busy) but I used PCStitch 11 just yesterday and hovering on the palette OR a stitch in the pattern, and the manufacturing color code was shown at the bottom of the screen. Since I generally only use DMC, it was the correct DMC codes given.
If you're not seeing that, then you might try to refresh your screen (F5 is standard refresh) or you may need to uninstall/reinstall the product.
As for the missing undo icon - try clicking on the down-arrow just to the right of the very top icons - Mine shows New, Open, Save and Undo and all are checked.
Again - an uninstall/reinstall my restore that if nothing else does.
