Is there any way to change the width of the boarder while you are creating it?

If you're not doing a standard pre-defined border and are just creating a border, it's like any pattern. If you are adding a custom border, you might consider adding rows and/or columns just where you want to increase the size of the border.

Does that help? I'm kinda guessing as this is not something I do normally.
