Is anyone able to help? Thank you |

The only way you can do a vertical half-stitch is with backstitches. You can create a specialty stitch.
I don't see why it would take 3 grid lines. Smart backstitches don't have to be only at the 4 corners of the stitch. I tested it. For a "left-vertical", take one backstitch from the upper left corner to the middle bottom and a second backstitch from the bottom left corner to the middle top. That gives you a vertical half-cross stitch but it will show as 2 backstitches.
Thankyou :) I had made a typo error- it was supposed to say 'the' gridlines not 'three'. |
