Posted - 07/02/2020 : 18:48:32 I would like to print the "View Pattern". I like to have the imported photo as a reference while I stitch. However if I make adjustments to the imported photo for the cross-stitch pattern it will look different than the original photo. My finished product never turns out like the photo imported. |

Posted - 07/02/2020 : 20:27:32 Your final pattern will never look exactly like the original photo. There is a fundamental difference between color pixels and embroidery floss at the very least and also a big difference in resolution. Your pattern will have lower resolution than your original image and if you do not follow the 1-1 ratio of stitches to pixels, you will introduce the issue of the software having to merge multiple pixels to come up with a single stitch. Also, the way the computer sees the colors is different than what you see. That is a part of the reason that "tweaking" is needed after the initial import. I have seen a black and white photo come out with pinks, purples and yellows because the software ran out of gray!
As for the printing of the view - you can export the pattern as an image without line numbers and grid lines and it will be almost the same as the view pattern image. I suggest exporting as solid blocks of color.
