When I tried to start a new design this morning and started PCStitch 11 and called for a new pattern I get a strange looking grid that is much smaller than usual though set on 100% size and I also am unable to get any bold grid lines though all the settings in properties are correct.

Dell did some updates on my laptop recently so I thought it might be the problem. I uninstalled pcstitch and installed again, but it did not help still strange small grid and nothing gives me bold grid lines.

Any suggestions?

Finally! I had to uninstall and download and reinstall the program twice and the second time worked. All is back to 'normal'. Have no idea why, but second time was the charm.

Actually, I've been using this software for a decade and I know all the settings you are mentioning, the settings are correct what is appearing is not.

ALL of my settings are what they've always been yet the initial graph is showing very small squares at even 200% and there are no bold lines anywhere even though the settings are for the default of dark grey every ten squares yet there are none to be seen.

What size of stitch are you making? The size of each block you see at 100% depends on the size of the stitch. If you have it set for 14 count, you will see bigger stitches than if you set it for 16 or 18 count.

By default, the bold lines are the same width as other grid lines. The difference is in the color. Bold lines are dark gray and others are light gray. Check that under Grid Lines in Options.
