Hello - is it possible to create text that curves along an arc - i.e. follows the arc of a circle, for example? If not with PC Stitch, does anyone know how to do it? Thank you!

I've not played with underlays either, so I can't comment on them.

As for importing an image into an existing pattern. You can't do it directly. The best you can do is import an image and create a pattern. Then COPY the pattern into another pattern. You still have to do it as 2 patterns to start with.

I wouldn't suggest that either.
One way you could do it is make it in photoshop at a decent size. Downrez the ps file to the dimensions of your pattern and just bring that in as your underlying image and trace it.
or (and I haven't tried this) could you import an image into your existing pattern?

You could use Photoshop to create the font and then import it but I rather strongly doubt it will come out well -- at least at first. Since any text import requires massive amounts of tweaking, curved fonts will require even more but it may be a start.

You can do curved text in Photoshop fairly easy. I haven't seen anything like that in PCStitch

There are no fonts in PCStitch that will do curved text. The best you can do is to create one yourself or just do the text manually without a stitched font. I know of no software that will do it.
