I have been cross stitching for years. My threads start with #310 and go upward. This program uses many colors 1- 310, I don't have these. I tried to make a pattern of my son's head and several colors are numbered below DMC 310. I have never seen those at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Can I get around that in PC Stitch so I don't have to buy all those colors? Can I remove them from the palette (and how), and once removed will the program match the photo with the closest colors above #310? Again, I have never ever needed colors below 310 and I am fine with that.

I suggest two things -- check the PDF that came with the product, a shortcut is placed with the shortcut for the product.

The second thing is to go through the tutorial.

Both should address the procedure.

Does anyone know if there is a video to show me how to make my own palette? Otherwise, in words tell me step by step. I have no idea how to do this.

You can create your own floss palette and select that to use as your palette.

I cannot guide you at this time to the procedure as I've never had that need.
