Hi,

I'm trying to relearn PCStitch (#11) after years of not having used my previous version (#?) and I'm a newbie on here. My question is basically how do I change the symbols in my floss palette for a design I just created? I changed my default PSCtitch 3 symbols due to vision issues in my library to PCStitch 2 symbols, but they still remain the 3 in the floss palette for my design. What am I doing wrong? I can't figure out how to match them sync! I can't even find a manual or help feature. Help! Thanks!

Changing the default just changes for new designing. Existing patterns are set. However, that is easy to change. Just select to open the symbol palette (to the left). Make sure it's showing the font you watch (in your case PCStitch Font 2). Then select the color in your floss palette (below) and the symbol you wish it to be from the open symbol list. All stitches will then change.

You have to change one by one for a pre-existing pattern as far as I know.

Once you have changed the symbols as you wish, save the pattern!

Note, you will not be able to open a pattern saved as PCStitch 11 in an earlier version of PCStitch. If you wish to do so and have not used any "new" features, you can export it to PCStitch 7 format which will only be restricted to opening from PCStitch 7 - 11. Since 7 dates back to 2004, that should not be too much of an issue.
