I cannot figure out what it is I'm doing wrong. I have imported my picture, the pattern is made but there are some missing parts that I need to add. Every time I try to paint in 1 square with a color it paints the whole background. How do I paint in just one square here and there without changing the whole background?

You're using the wrong tool. Paint is to fill a larger area with a single color. Select a stitch type (cross, half ...) and how to display it. Your cursor should look like an arrow. Then select the color and click when the arrow is where you want to add a stitch.]

If you're new to the product, I suggest you do the tutorial for help in learning the basics.

Good Luck!

Diane
